The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as other models do to identify your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It has a lot of features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the touch of one button. You can choose a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or two thorough maps of your home to ensure that your home is properly arranged.

It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an improved filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price cost.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub floors better than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only drawback is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a major issue if you want to own one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes across the wall or a piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving on.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something requires attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly get rid of clutter like toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can also clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.
